WOMEN’S COMPETITIVE TEAM
Our women’s competitive gymnastics team is a prestigious program focusing on building a solid foundation of gymnastics while empowering young gymnasts to reach their full potential both in and out of the gym.
The women’s team competes from Level 3 to Level 10 under the USA Gymnastics program policies and guidelines. Participation on our women’s competitive team is by invitation only.

WOMEN’S TEAM COACH
Yurany, originally from Cúcuta, Colombia, is not only a valued member of our women’s team coaching staff but she’s also a competitive gymnast in her home country. Educated in psychology and a lifelong gymnast, Yurany brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our women’s competitive team. An expert in gymnastics choreography, she is a Colombia National Champion (2002-2018), 3-time World Champion, 2-time Bolivian Games Champion, 2-time South American Games Champion, 2-time Pacific Rim Champion and Pan American Games Champion. Yurany believes gymnastics is more than just a sport, she sees it as a lifestyle and Houston Gymnastics Academy is lucky to have her passion and experience as she encourages our women’s team gymnasts to do their best and best their best!
